Europe natural gas prices: Is Russia responsible for the demand?
Russia : The United States National Security adviser, Jake Sullivan recently said that Russia should respond to the shortage of energy supplies to Europe and increasing market demands. Europe gets about 50% of natural gas from Russian country through several main pipelines such as the Yamal-Europe, the Nord Stream and the Brotherhoodand and the rest of the natural gas comes from Algeria and Norway.
Natural gas is distributed to several countries across the Europe continent from the regional main hubs after collecting there. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for gas went much lower and therefore, Russia had to lower the volume of exports to Europe. After the pandemic, the demand rised as usual, but the export from Russia still looks downward.
